1. Our service

Lina Matrimonial is a matchmaking platform that helps Bangladeshi Muslim families find a suitable bride or groom for marriage. We provide a way to publish a biodata, search, send interests and communicate. We are not a marriage broker and we do not guarantee that you will find a match or that any marriage will take place.

2. Eligibility

The service is only for marriage. The bride must be at least 18 years old and the groom at least 21 years old, as required by Bangladeshi law, and both must be legally free to marry.

Each person may have only one profile. Profiles for minors, for people who are already married without disclosing it, or for any purpose other than marriage are not allowed.

3. Profiles created by family

A parent, sibling, relative or friend may create and manage a profile on behalf of the bride or groom, but only with that person's full knowledge and consent. The person who creates the account is responsible for everything done with it.

4. Accurate information and review

All information in a biodata — including name, age, marital status, children, education, profession, income, family details and guardian contact — must be true and up to date.

Our team reviews every profile and photo before it is published. We may ask for proof of identity (such as an NID or passport) and may reject, edit for formatting, hide or remove any profile at our discretion.

5. Photos

Photos must be recent, of the bride or groom only, and decent and modest. Group photos, photos of children, photos of other people, or photos containing contact details, watermarks or logos will be rejected.

Approved photos are shown clearly to logged-in members only and are blurred for visitors who are not logged in. Do not copy, download or share other members' photos.

6. Respectful conduct

You agree not to: harass, threaten or insult any member; send indecent messages; ask for or send money, gifts, recharge or mobile-banking transfers; promote any business; impersonate anyone; create fake profiles; use the service for dating or any non-marriage purpose; or share other members' information outside the platform.

Phone numbers, emails and social media links are not allowed in public biodata text or interest notes. Contact details are shared only through the guardian-contact feature.

7. Guardian contact and privacy

Guardian contact numbers are shown only after both sides accept an interest, and only to members with an active paid membership. Use them only to discuss a marriage proposal. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

8. Membership and payments

Basic membership is free. Paid memberships (such as Silver and Gold) give extra features for a fixed number of days, as described on the Membership page. Prices are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT).

Payments are processed securely by SSLCommerz (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, cards and other methods). We never see or store your card number or mobile wallet PIN. Memberships do not renew automatically. Buying again adds days after your current plan ends.

9. Refunds

Because membership features are available immediately, payments are not refundable once a membership is activated. If you were charged twice for the same order, or charged without receiving the membership, contact us within 7 days with your transaction ID and we will refund the duplicate or failed payment.

No refund is given for accounts suspended for breaking these Terms.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete any account that breaks these Terms, receives serious reports, or provides false information — with or without notice. You may deactivate your account at any time from Settings.

11. Safety and your responsibility

We review profiles, but we cannot verify every detail or carry out background checks. You are responsible for verifying any person and family before making decisions. Always involve your family, meet in safe places, and never send money. Please read our Safety Tips.

12. Limitation of liability

Lina Matrimonial is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for the conduct of any member, for decisions you make based on information on the service, or for any indirect loss. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 6 months.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; the latest version is always on this page and continued use means you accept it. These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction.
